Spur Vienna
In may 2003, as part of the factory season at the TanzQuartier Wien, we created a 45 minute piece called "Spur"
("Trace" in German).
Spur was an audio tour in which people from the present walked in the footsteps of two figures from 1919. A man returning from a prisoner of war camp after five years and a young pregnant woman in search of work. The tour was designed so that two audience members set off at the exact same time from two separate points in the city of Vienna. Alone with portable CD players, they were led through two distinct paths and sets of experiences. Their paths crossed and diverged at several points eventually ending at the same table in a restaurant.
