synopsis

The desert. Cold nights. Blistering hot days. Wide sky, silence, solitude. The next town is a two-day jeep ride or two-week walk away.

A North American scientist, Gabriel, has spent an extremely long time alone researching desert locusts. He has converted a nearby cave into a laboratory. His habits and personality have adapted to the surroundings. He finds something unexpectedly - a special rare insect. His princess. Just as he is on the verge of capturing her, a stranger appears. Also a scientist, he claims - Marc, from Cambridge University.

A threat? An enigma? The two dance a dance of mistrust and evasion around one another, until accidentally a hitherto untapped source of power is released into the world. It is violent and elemental – a swarm of almost surreal dimensions which nearly destroys them both.
